From the Authors:
"Participating in the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program has provided us with the opportunity to examine our professional development courses from a fresh perspective. The program rubric has helped us to make our course design stronger by having us really examine the strength of engagement, collaboration, assessment and learner support that is built into the course."
About the Course:
LAConnect (Connecting Curriculum and Instructional Practice) is designed to enhance the instructional program within the K-12 classroom. Participants are provided with a deeper understanding of the Comprehensive Curriculum and effective instructional practices. By exploring research-based strategies and instructional resources, participants will gain a broader knowledge of standards, benchmarks, and GLEs as well as technology integration in the development of standards-based assessments and activities that support the Comprehensive Curriculum, and allow participants the opportunity to explore the potential of learning communities as they relate to professional development and student learning through collaborative learning experiences.
